Frequently Asked Questions

Is each blog post 100% original?

Yes, indeed. Every single blog post I write is completely unique and won't be found anywhere else on the WWW. I run everything through CopyScape just to be sure.

Can I provide topics or keywords?

Absolutely. Any time you have a particular topic you want me to write about or certain keywords you'd like me to use, just send them along by email and I'll include them in your next scheduled post.

Whose name will be on the byline?

Not mine! I am your friendly neighborhood ghost writer, which means that I write the content, but you put your name on it. And once you purchase a blog post or article, you own full rights to the content, with which you can do as you please.

What if I don't already have a blog?

Go out and get yourself one! There are many blogging platforms to choose from, but I like Blogger and Word Press the best. Blogger is free and easy, and you can connect it to your website in a few easy steps. Word Press is also free, and while it's a little more complicated, you can do more with it. Really, it doesn't matter which one you choose unless you're going to be doing some neat tricks on your blog that require special applications and fancy widgets. (In that case, you'll want WordPress.)

If the idea of setting up a blog for your website gives you the heebie jeebies, contact your website guy, ask around at the office, or find a teenager to set it up for you. It doesn't take long, and it's fairly simple.

Can I request revisions?

My number one concern is creating content that you're happy with. I'm always happy to make revisions.

How does billing work?

I accept payments through PayPal. You'll receive a monthly invoice for all articles written in the previous calendar month. If you don't have a PayPal account or prefer to pay directly by credit card, I can do that, too. If you're dinosaur bones and want to mail a check, well, I'm fine with that as well.

Where are you located?

My office is located in Lincoln, Nebraska, in the heart of the Heartland, but I write for clients all over the country. I'm a homegrown Nebraskan, give or take a few years during which I lived in Seattle, Houston, and Albuquerque. My beautiful city is a hotspot for Midwestern creatives. Lincoln has a thriving arts and music scene and has made it onto more than a few top ten lists in the past couple of years. You should visit!

Who runs this place?

I do! My name is Kristen Bailey, and before starting Atomic Content, I wrote high quality articles and blog posts for several online content providers. My writing earned me a large number of repeat clients, and the companies I contracted with often chose me to write for their high-profile accounts. Before that, I was a fourth-grade teacher in an urban school. Writing has been my primary passion for over twenty years.
